The new École Évangéline in Abram-Village is on track to open by September 2028, replacing the original facility that sustained heavy structural damage from post-tropical storm Fiona in September 2022. Managed by the Prince Edward Island Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy, the replacement facility will accommodate 225 students and 56 preschoolers within an early years centre. The new building will also house a library, an Acadian and francophone arts and culture centre, and office space for la Commission scolaire de langue française (CSLF).
