The facility will be built in two phases—95 megawatts coming online by the end of 2027 and 325 megawatts in 2028—under a 20-year lease agreement with an unnamed AI tenant. Furthermore, a consortium of Mi'kmaw communities fronted by Membertou First Nation is negotiating a nine per cent equity stake in the project.
