Premier Tony Wakeham of Newfoundland and Labrador announced the appointment of Craig Foley as the Deputy Minister of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, effective September 28, 2026. Mr. Foley brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the provincial tourism sector, having previously served as the chief executive officer of Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador and as chair of the Provincial and Territorial Tourism Industry Associations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University and an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
