The Ontario Ministry of Transportation has issued a notice of procurement to design and build the eastern third of Highway 413 and the Highway 427 Extension from Major Mackenzie Drive north to Highway 413, marking the largest infrastructure procurement ever issued by the ministry. Additionally, the province awarded a construction manager contract for the 9.1-kilometre Highway 410 Extension connecting to Highway 413 to Infrastructure Partners of Ontario, a joint venture consisting of Miller Paving, GIP, and Amico. The overall Highway 413 project features 11 interchanges, is expected to reduce travel times by up to 30 minutes, support over 6,000 jobs per year during construction, and contribute more than $1 billion to Ontario's GDP. Design and program management contracts for central sections were previously awarded in June and July 2026 to Parsons Inc. / Egis Canada Ltd. and 413 Continuity Partners (AECOM and WSP), respectively.
