  The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is undertaking the land expropriation along the south side of the Trans-Canada Highway pursuant to Section 3(b) of the Expropriation Act. This land acquisition advances the Trans-Canada Highway twinning project between Grand Falls-Windsor and Bishop's Falls, which was originally announced on December 18, 2025, using a traditional procurement approach. The department has retained a surveyor to identify affected property owners and instructed unregistered, impacted owners to contact [email protected].
