Major construction is officially underway at the Woodbine GO Station along Highway 27, marking a milestone in the Government of Ontario's nearly $70 billion transit expansion. Led by Metrolinx, the project involves building new island platforms, a bus loop, dedicated parking, and pedestrian bridges to connect riders to the Kitchener GO Line, UP Express, Pearson International Airport, and local transit networks including the TTC, MiWay, York Region Transit, and Brampton Transit. The station will replace the existing Etobicoke North GO Station, create over 300 jobs, improve access to Humber Polytechnic North Campus and Etobicoke General Hospital, and support a major urban development unlocking over 20,000 new homes around the Woodbine Racetrack.
